It says in the textbox above that titles are optional, from the day I began writing here I guess its just an option I blindly complied with, till today that is.
So here’s a little post deviating from the topic of discussion of this week, one without a title maybe, but that my fellow readers, is only more of a statement purpose.
Love, yes funny thing it is. There are those people who find it easy and there are those who find it and lost it and get it back easy and there are those who find it and lose it and never get it back and there are those who find it with a helluva hard time. But we all find it. And I believe that is the greatest part of living.
I’m not much of a religious person, not anymore that is, but I’ve been brought up in a very devoted Christian family. So I’ve had a lot of well, mugging up verses and even entire chapters in the Bible (yeah, sometimes I’m glad they didn’t have us mug whole books up, but wait, there were some who did that as well!, guess it isn’t much of a wonder where I stand with religion today!) and today, even when I don’t find a lot of religious strength from it, I still think it goes a long way with me along the spiritual road.
Those of you who have made an acquaintance of even BFF with the Bible probably already know what I’m talking about, 1 Corinthians 13 of course. it speaks of love. If you read the King James versions it refers to love as ‘charity’, interesting that I always thought. We are brought up to believe that is merely archaic English for love but the truth is, I believe that we can still find meaning in the origins of anything. Following that train I do believe that it was indeed charity that rooted into any form of the term ‘love’, and words giving a form to a meaning or at least a boundary for a word to operate within, I do believe that it was the humane aspect of love that gave birth to its original need for a word. I suppose rest remains given to the obvious that it is that feeling which is created in us to be the drivers of the most inexplicable emotion we feel, love.
Yes, love does flow into many, too too many, tributaries but the source remains the most powerful, and the source, remains and forever will to me, humanity.
That being said, Love, is INDEED quite a funny thing it is. There are those people who find it easy and there are those who find it and lost it and get it back easy and there are those who find it and lose it and never get it back and there are those who find it with a helluva hard time. But we all find it. And I believe that is the greatest part of living.
I have found mine, I lost it, and I found it again. 🙂
