Old Love

So! My visa work is completed, ENFIN! My tickets are booked for Kuwait this Saturday night. I should be happy about this, right? Except I don’t know quite how to feel.

Kuwait has been more than a place, it has been more than a home, it’s been more than a haven, a sanctuary. Kuwait is a life. It’s a life I left behind for another one, and returning back feels, unsettling. It feels like going back to an old boyfriend, a first love.

Walking the path seems dangerous, it feels like I’m playing with fire, it feels like there won’t be anything left for me there but the familiar scent and feel of a once crazy love.

As I embark on this second part of my journey, and carry all you loverrrlies with me, let us hope that we make sense of this together.
